Frank F. Starr II, President. He earned a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Oklahoma. Mr. Starr has over 25 years of experience in operations, reservoir engineering, acquisitions, and management. His experience includes 17 years with Union Pacific Resources working Texas, California, the Mid-Continent, and the Rockies. Significant accomplishments throughout his career include over $140MM in acquisitions, engineering, and managing several successful drilling programs, and serving as engineering manager for a large steam flood during which operation costs were reduced by 37%.

Jacob (Tripp) Rivers III, Vice President of Exploration. He earned a B.S. in Geology from the University of Oklahoma and has over 25 years of industry experience. His career began in Oklahoma with two independent companies followed by over 7 years with Union Pacific Resources and 2 years with Belco. Key accomplishments include a 2 MMBO field extension discovery in Oklahoma as well as generating locations for and steering over 100 horizontal wells in the Austin Chalk trend.

Mark W. Holcomb, Vice President of Operations.  He earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University and a M.B.A. from Texas Christian University.  He has over 15 years of industry experience, primarily with Union Pacific Resources, including drilling, production, and business development.  Significant accomplishments include supervision of drilling operations for over 60 wells in West Texas where best drilling practices resulted in annual savings of $2.9MM.  He has managed several successful asset development programs and redesigned operating systems realizing a 35% reduction in well repair expenses.

Aaron S. Thesman, Vice President of Land and Legal. He earned a B.A. in Political Science from Oklahoma State University and a J.D. from the University of Oklahoma College of Law. Mr. Thesman practiced law with Hiersche, Hayward, Drakeley & Urbach, P.C. of Dallas, Texas in the areas of commercial and employment litigation, and general business transactions. He also was previously employed by Union Pacific Resources in its Legal and Government Relations Departments. His significant accomplishments include serving as counsel on numerous complex litigation cases in federal and state courts throughout the United States, providing detailed legal/risk analysis to small and mid-cap businesses, and drafting/negotiating various oil and gas agreements.

Russell (Bo) Bollier, Operations Superintendent. Mr. Bollier has over 25 years of experience in management, drilling, completion, and operations. He worked 16 years for Winn Exploration as a foreman and superintendent involved in all phases of the company’s field development in South Texas. He also has experience as a foreman for Merit Energy in South Texas, Colorado, Wyoming, and Utah. Some of his key accomplishments include managing the field operations and drilling for several companies. The most recent as the Drilling and Production Superintendent for Crimson Energy Company, L.P., overseeing a two-year development program in South Texas in which over 100 wells were drilled and completed.
